Early Interceptive Treatment
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that the first visit to the orthodontist should be as early as age 7 years. While your child’s teeth may appear straight to you, there could be a problem that only an orthodontist can detect. If we detect a problem, chances are we might take a “wait-and-see” approach since our goal is to provide each patient with the most appropriate treatment at the most appropriate time. In other cases we might recommend early treatment that may prevent more serious problems from developing and may make treatment at a later age shorter and less complicated.
Metal or Ceramic Braces
- Metal Braces – These are the traditional braces and our most preferred option for children and teenagers. They offer a reliable, effective and economical treatment option. Plus kids love to personalize their braces by choosing different elastics colors each visit.
- Ceramic Braces – For our adult patients, we have the option of ceramic braces, which work like the metal braces, except that the brackets bonded to the teeth are made of ceramic which blends with tooth color, while resisting staining and discoloration during treatment.

Clear Aligners
This is a new alternative system to traditional braces which straighten your teeth without wires and brackets using a series of clear, customized, removable appliances called Clear aligners. You will receive a series of Clear aligner trays that are custom fitted to your teeth and should be worn at all times except during meals. The aligners provide a slight pressure to the teeth in a sequential pattern, forcing them to move into alignment over time.
